Partnering with Schools to Ensure Literacy Success

F.A.S.T Reading Ambassador Program

At F.A.S.T. Learning, we work in close collaboration with teachers throughout the school year, not just at their initial training. One important and powerful way we achieve this close working relationship is through the F.A.S.T. Reading Ambassador Program.

In conjunction with the school principal, F.A.S.T. Learning identifies driven, dedicated teachers to act as F.A.S.T. Learning team leaders and serve as F.A.S.T. Reading Ambassadors. These teachers receive additional, specialized training that prepares them to provide on-the-ground support for their F.A.S.T.- trained colleagues. In addition, F.A.S.T. Reading Ambassadors communicate regularly with a F.A.S.T. literacy specialist, who will share best practices, new literacy trends, and troubleshoot, if necessary. This approach builds capacity at the building level and provides teachers with timely, meaningful feedback.

F.A.S.T. Reading Ambassador Program training will cover topics such as:

  • Delivering differentiated instruction with the F.A.S.T. Reading Program
  • Collaborating with teachers and building school-wide literacy communities
  • Teaching the F.A.S.T. Reading Program with SMART Board applications
  • Supporting RTI and implementing literacy intervention strategies
  • Conducting assessments that drive instruction
  • Preparing for high-stakes testing

Participants will earn one recertification credit when they complete the two-day training, as well as receive an assessment package and pacing guide. The F.A.S.T. Reading Ambassador Program is open only to teachers who have been nominated by their principals and completed the initial four-day F.A.S.T. Reading Program Training.
