F.A.S.T. Reading Program Refresher Course

Class sizes and the demands on teachers are increasing rapidly. Yet budgets are shrinking, so teachers are asked to do a lot more with fewer resources.

F.A.S.T. Learning has created a way to keep your teachers current and stretch your school’s limited dollars. We’ve developed a six-hour refresher course that not only features the same multisensory, flexible, and research-based methods of the F.A.S.T. Reading Program training, but also includes:

• Essential background on sounds, morphology, orthography, and spelling conventions
• In depth vocabulary and comprehension instruction
• Leveled concepts that allow for differentiated instruction
• The most recent research-based reading strategies

Each refresher course attendee will receive the fully revised and updated fourth edition of the F.A.S.T. Reading Program Teacher’s Manual, which features:

• A simple lesson plan format
• Stories, songs, and chants for brain-based learning
• A pacing guide
• Expanded assessment tools

Short on time? This course can be taken as one six-hour session or two three-hour sessions, all at your school. F.A.S.T. Learning will work with you and your staff to create a schedule that fits your training needs.
