"We will never close the achievement gap, we will never solve our dropout crisis, we will never break the cycle of poverty that afflicts so many children if we don’t make sure all our students learn to read."

Close the Reading Gap

The F.A.S.T. Reading Program

The F.A.S.T. Reading Program, a research-based literacy intervention program, features a flexible, fun approach that’s highly effective with struggling readers. It combines systematic phonics, morphological awareness, orthographic knowledge, auditory processing, and literature-based instruction to create a streamlined program that includes immediate reading application.

Multisensory, Explicit Approach That’s Grounded in Research

The F.A.S.T. Reading Program empowers kids from the moment they step into the classroom.  Students learn the essential skills of phonemic identification, blending, segmenting, and manipulation of sounds through direct, explicit instruction and multisensory exercises. They quickly move on to practicing their new phonetic skills with the F.A.S.T. Readers, engaging, sequentially written, decodable storybooks.

The F.A.S.T. Reading Program:

  • Is aligned to the Common Core Standards
  • Supports the needs of English language learners
  • Drives instruction through formative assessments
  • Builds mastery across the curriculum
  • Addresses all components of Tier 2 and Tier 3 RtI models
  • Rapidly brings struggling readers to grade level

When teaching with the F.A.S.T. Reading Program, educators nationwide consistently deliver dramatic gains in reading, including with their students in the lowest percentiles.
